With over 30 years of public service experience across respected institutions—including the Houston Police Department, U.S. Postal Service, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Harris County Attorney’s Office, and the Department of Family and Protective Services (CPS)—Attorney Amos brings unmatched insight and dedication to her legal practice. Her longstanding commitment to community service inspired her transition into private practice, where she continues to serve clients with compassion, integrity, and excellence.

Attorney Amos holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with honors from the University of Houston, where she also earned a minor in Values, Law, and Policy. She later graduated with honors from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law. In addition to her legal credentials, she is a trained mediator, having completed both the 40-hour Basic Mediation and 30-hour Advanced Family Mediation certifications at the University of Houston Law Center, as required by Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code §154.052(a)-(b). She is a Credentialed Mediator with the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association and an active member of the Texas Association of Mediators. Attorney Amos is licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas.

In her personal life, Attorney Amos and her husband are proud parents in a blended family of five children and one granddaughter. Her personal journey shapes her empathetic and balanced approach to family law. Whether advocating fiercely in the courtroom or guiding clients through mediation, Attorney Amos brings both personal insight and professional excellence to every case she handles.

Kristian brings fresh energy and a strong background in customer service to our firm. As our Intake Specialist, she is often the first point of contact for new clients, helping to ensure they feel heard, understood, and supported from the very beginning. Her role includes screening incoming inquiries, scheduling consultations, and coordinating key appointments such as mediations and meetings.

Kristian also plays a vital role in keeping clients informed, providing timely updates and maintaining open lines of communication throughout each case. Known for her friendly and welcoming demeanor, she helps set the tone for a positive client experience. With a genuine compassion for helping others, Kristian is committed to making every client feel valued and supported every step of the way.

Mrs. McPherson brings more than a decade of administrative and legal support experience to The Law Office of Kesha L. Amos, PLLC. With a strong background in land and document management, Sonya has worked with some of Houston’s most prominent energy companies and legal service providers, consistently recognized for her precision, reliability, and collaborative spirit.

As our Client Support Specialist, Sonya is often the first point of contact for new and existing clients. She plays a key role in case coordination, document processing, and communication, ensuring that every client feels supported, informed, and valued throughout their legal journey. Her extensive experience in customer service and compliance allows her to anticipate client needs and maintain a smooth and efficient workflow within the firm.

Outside of the office, Sonya is a devoted wife, proud mother, and loving grandmother to three beautiful grandchildren. She enjoys cooking, spending quality time with her family, and taking peaceful walks with her dog, Desi. Her warmth, attentiveness, and commitment to excellence make her an integral part of our team and a true advocate for every client we serve.
